I.E.M.R.C Research Projects: Optimization of antibacterial and antibiofilm activities of Lucilia Sericata secretions/ extractions against wound pathogens

In this project, researchers will compare the antibacterial activitiy of Lucilia Sericata larvae secretions/extractions against a common gram-positive and a common gram-negative bacteria isolated from diabetic foot ulcers with those of topical antibiotic preparations. They also determine the minimum inhibitory concentration, minimum bactericidal concentration and antibiofilm activity of Lucilia Sericata larvae secretions and extractions.
