I.E.M.R.C Research Projects: Comprehensive Cardiometabolic Disorders Prevention Study

Regarding the high prevalence of pre-diabetes in Iran, the Isfahan Endocrine and Metabolism Research Center is preparing a research project on prevention of cardiometabolic disorders. Participants will be male and female residents of three areas of the Isfahan city aged ≥20 years. After screening the study population based on risk factors and the results of FBS, those with increased risk will be evaluated further by  OGTT. According to the OGTT results, participants will be classified in different groups with different interventions. Those with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia and/or hypertension will also receive case-specific interventions.
